Dario Argento to complete the Three Mothers Trilogy!

Actually, technically it isn´t even a real trilogy. The idea got its seeds on Suspiria, but the basic roots and canonic rules were really planted on Inferno (that actually shows the other two mothers, Lacrimarum and Tenebrarum, and talks about Mother Suspiriorum).

Not that it really matters. Dario Argento is back to his unique brand of horror with the highly anticipated Mother of Tears.

Profondo Rosso, the Italian store run by Luigi Cozzi that specializes in Italian horror collectibles, news was posted a few days back and it says, verbatim:

Argento'll be back to Italy next June, ready to start immediately to shoot his new theatrical horror movie La Terza Madre (The Third Mother), which is a sequel to Suspiria and Inferno. The movie is a big budget feature, produced by Medusa along with a major American company. Immediately after finishing to work on The Third Mother, Dario Argento's been signed by another major American company to start shooting another big budget movie.

Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson (The Toolbox Murders) wrote the screenplay. Just don´t expect the stunningly gorgeous Ania Pieroni (top picture, and she also appears on Tenebrae) to reprise her role as The Mother of Tears, from Inferno, cause she´s retired since 1985.
