"El Espectro Del Terror" resurfaces.
BUENOS AIRES - One of the most sought-after Spanish horror movies of the 70s, EL ESPECTRO DEL TERROR, was discovered by a group of film students in the storage closet of Chupador TV. The print, apparently aired once and then hermetically sealed, is in pristine condition and –even more amazingly – uncut.
"Eastmancolor usually fades, but not the case here," says Esteban Villalobos of the find. Several U.S. specialty DVD companies have already started a bidding war, in the hopes of acquiring the elements for a planned 2007 release. Reportedly, the film contains gruesome scenes of murder and butchery, including a pretty airline stewardess being dissolved in a bathtub of acid by a drug-crazed, werewolf-like killer who likes to bite off nipples and eat them.
